Safety Details Keep clear of moving parts: Keep your hands, hair, loose clothing, and objects away from moving parts while the plucker is running. Don't overload the plucker. Keep children away, as the plucker is not a toy. Never put live poultry into the plucker. Keep electrical cords above surfaces that collect water, and don't submerge them. Unplug the plucker before assembling, disassembling, cleaning, or when not in use. Avoid bleach and chlorine: Don't use bleach or chlorine-based chemicals. The scalder gets extremely hot. Be careful to not burn yourself. Use the lowest temperature possible for the bird. Different poultry will require different temperature and times in the water. Over scalding will damage the bird.
