Safety Details Starting and Stopping Procedures 1. **Starting the Generator**:    - Move the choke to 75% of the "CHOKE" position.    - Push the ignition switch to the "ON" position.    - Press and hold the ignition switch to the "START" position. Release as the engine begins to start.    - If the engine fails to start within five seconds, release the switch and wait at least ten seconds before attempting to start the engine again.    - As soon as the engine starts, move the choke to the "RUN" position over a 2-5 second duration[1]. 2. **Stopping the Generator**:    - Turn off and unplug all electrical loads.    - Let the generator run at no-load for several minutes to stabilize internal temperatures of the engine and generator.    - Turn the fuel valve to the "OFF" position.    - Let the engine run until fuel starvation has stopped the engine.
